AÉÉIPPSSA’S PREMIER EVENT IS BACK FOR ITS 24TH EDITION!
The University of Ottawa Model Parliament is an opportunity for students to sit in the House of Commons as a Member of Parliament, debate against their peers, represent their constituents and ask or answer the tough questions – all while learning the ins and outs of parliamentary life.
MPSP 2025 TAKES PLACE FROM SEPTEMBER 2024 TO JANUARY 2025.
Indigenous Affirmation
We would like to acknowledge and recognize that we are on unceded and unsurrendered Algonquin Anishinaabe territory. We must actively work towards decolonizing this space and all Indigenous territories by ensuring that our words, actions and behaviours are constantly and continuously challenging the colonialist and racist norms that govern our ways of being, especially at an event that stems from colonial practices and traditions.
We pay respect to the Algonquin people, who are the traditional guardians of this land. We acknowledge their long-standing relationship with this territory, which remains unceded.
We pay respect to all Indigenous people in this region, from all nations across Turtle Island.
We acknowledge the traditional knowledge keepers, both young and old. And we honour their courageous leaders: past, present, and future.
